Rights & Royalties Intranet for Macmillan Publishers

Macmillan are one of the UK's major publishers with authors such as Wilbur Smith, Jeffrey Archer, Douglas Adams, Ian Fleming. GA have recently completed the development of an intranet solution for Macmillan Royalties Department for the definition and management of book rights, the administration of sub-contracted third party rights (subrights) and related financial transactions such as royalties to Macmillan from third parties, royalties to authors from Macmillan, invoicing of subrights and chasing of payments. The intranet solution provides Macmillan with visibility of the above rights & transactions across the whole business along with one of the key drivers for the project: improved management information reporting.

Parnassus at Future Awards and Qualifications

Future is an awarding body providing accredited qualifications in first aid, health and safety, teacher training and social care. Gordon Associates is pleased to announce that Future has recently gone live with our Parnassus awarding body management system. Parnassus enhances Future’s ability to maintain their qualification structures, manage their database of approved centres, register learners, capture results and produce certificates. In addition the online registration facility has provided significant benefits in terms of efficiency and data accuracy.

GA Builds Itinerary System for cazenove + loyd

cazenove + loyd are high-end travel specialists that offer holiday itineraries which are individually designed by a destination expert who knows their region by personal experience. Gordon Associates was selected by cazenove + loyd to deliver a new bespoke itinerary-building system that would reduce administration time, manage supplier costs and provide a high-quality output to their clients. The new system will be used by the company’s destination experts to work with their clients to build a bespoke itinerary incorporating travel, accommodation and activities. The system, being developed in Microsoft’s .NET framework with a SQL Server database, will offer rapid, flexible facilities for users to deal with all the idiosyncrasies of complex, individually-tailored travel plans.

Parnassus at Skillsfirst

Skillsfirst Awards is an awarding organisation for the contact centre, sales, customer service and retail sectors. Skillsfirst went live with Parnassus earlier this year and this enables staff to maintain their qualification structures, manage their database of approved centres, register learners, capture achievement and produce certificates. A key element of the project is the provision of a Registration/certification Electronic Gateway – known as REG – that facilitates collaboration with centres delivering rapid turnaround of services along with administration efficiencies. The project also features integration with Advanced Secure’s secure certificate printing solution and is soon to be extended to interface with Skillsfirst’s eAssessment system.

Gordon Associates Announces Partnership With Iris Membership Solutions

Iris is the UK’s largest private software house with a turnover in excess of £250million. Gordon Associates has recently partnered with Iris’ Not-For-Profit division which provides the market-leading membership management solution, Integra, to societies, associations and institutes. The two organisations are collaborating to market a combined membership and awarding body solution based on the Integra and Parnassus products.
