Gordon Associates has recently completed a web portal for a major service company in the automotive sector. The portal captures reservations for vehicle demonstrations from dealers & car fleet managers and provides functions for defining vehicle details & pictures, demonstrator bookings with related details, email confirmations, utlisation reporting, integration with internal business systems and mobile device access. The portal will deliver faster turnaround of bookings and greater visibility for clients with improved reporting capabilities.

Peach Croft

At Peach Croft Farm in rural Oxfordshire, the Homewood family has been rearing award-winning Xmas turkeys and Xmas geese for seventy-five years. Their Breed Heritage Bourbon Red Turkey, sold exclusively by Fortnum & Mason, was recently voted the best chef’s rating (5/5) in The Times.

GA is pleased to be a supplier to Peach Croft, providing IT services for such a down-to-earth yet prestigious business. When you buy your Christmas turkey at the order is automatically transferred to Peach Croft's order management and finance system via Cyclops - a production support system developed by Gordon Associates. At delivery/pickup time Cyclops provides product control via a sophisticated barcoding system - as well as complete management of the retail operation.

Mathias & Sons Workwear

Gordon Associates has completed an online order management system called MUMS for Mathias & Sons. Based in Bristol, Mathias & Sons provide workwear to organisations such as Scottish Courage and Telewest. The eCommerce site allows complex bulk orders to be placed and enables clients to view progress of orders. The online system includes management information reports (including some amazing 3-D, moving barcharts and pie charts – go to for a demonstration), integration with internal systems, and support for the returns management process.

Jason Mathias commented that the web-site’s management information reports “allow Mathias & Sons to provide customers with budgetary control over orders and complete visibility of spend” and this is one of the factors which enables Mathias & Sons to differentiate themselves from their competitors. Mathias recently received the Supplier of the Year (Services) Award from Scottish & Newcastle Breweries and the MUMS web-site formed an important part of this high-profile honor according to Alan Owen, S&N Procurement Manager: “MUMS has been a revelation, improving our control and producing excellent management information” and Richard Chenney, S&N Fleet Team Manager: “The service we receive is fantastic. The FD Centre

The FD Centre provides part-time Finance Directors for small-to-medium sized enterprises that do not wish to employ a full-time FD. A business can therefore benefit from lower costs, but can also profit by working with a more senior individual than a SME might normally attract. The FD Centre works with over 300 clients and has recently expanded its operations overseas to countries such as South Africa and Australia.

GA provides a support service for The FD Centre’s online Microsoft CRM system and has recently built a time recording and invoicing website called Calypso. This online web application manages clients, contracts & FDs and allows the part-time finance directors to submit the time worked at each client each month. The system then automatically builds an electronic invoice which is sent to the client along with the administrative paperwork that is required for the payment to the finance director. The website also exports these transactions to The FD Centre’s finance system.

Web-based market research tool to support the organisation of research evidence and research conclusions. The application is in use by users based in three locations in Germany and one location in the UK.

Iluka provide corporate hospitality management for global sporting events such as the Olympic Games, Rugby World Cups and Football World Cups. Gordon Associates has been engaged by Iluka to provide web development services for their internal hospitality management system, Info-Iluka. Gordon Associates are developing the Ticketing Module, which will allow users to graphically map out seating plans and assign delegates to seats. Iluka staff will be able to use the system anywhere in the world, from administration headquarters in London to the temporary operation centres at the venues themselves. Ticket allocations will be performed in real-time with users able to modify seating assignments right up until the match/event starts. The system will be used to support ticket allocation for the Beijing Olympic Games as Iluka provide corporate hospitality management for guests of multi-national corporations.

GA has completed development of a time recording system for Eversheds, one of the largest firms of solicitors in the world. The system, called Carpe Diem, manages clients, contracts, billing hours and exports to the corporate finance system for invoicing.

AMA Research

AMA provide market research services for the building industry and have designed their own web-site for providing the latest marketing information to their customers via the Internet. Gordon Associates has provided technology consultancy services for the architecture of the web-site and the delivery of database information via dynamic web pages. Gordon Associates technical advice enabled AMA Research to perform the majority of the web-site development themselves.
