Insitute of Sales and Marketing Management

The ISMM is the worldwide representative body for salespeople. The ISMM is committed to developing sales talent and is recognised as an awarding organisation by the UK Government regulatory body Ofqual, with a full range of qualifications in Sales and Sales Management. The project will include the implementation of a new membership & events management system based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and the use of our Parnassus awarding organisation portal to support the management of ISMM’s rapidly growing qualifications division. 1st4Sport Qualifications

1st4sport Qualifications is an awarding body which works in partnership with a variety of organisations, including The Football Association (FA), The Rugby Football Union (RFU), England Hockey and Sports Coach UK, to develop and award qualifications for the active learning and leisure industry. 1st4Sport Qualifications is using a customised implementation of GA's Parnassus solution for awarding bodies. The system provides support for the administration and management of qualifications, approved learning providers, events, registration of learners and grade entry. Tony Dallimore, Education Director, says “The system has proved popular with all business users, reducing processing time, streamlining business processes and improving customer service.”

VTCT is a specialist awarding body offering a range of vocational qualifications in beauty therapy, nail services, hairdressing, holistic therapy, sports therapy, health and fitness. VTCT qualifications are delivered at over 500 colleges of further education, private training providers and schools throughout the United Kingdom. International delivery of VTCT qualifications is expanding and includes countries such as Turkey, Romania, India, Malta and Kenya and this will continue to develop through the partnership forged with HABIA, the Standards Setting Body for the hairdressing, beauty and related therapies sectors, to develop a joint international delivery venture. VTCT selected GA's Parnassus framework to provide support for their core internal processes such as registration through to certification, as well as Microsoft CRM, online facilities for business partners & customers and integration with finance and e-commerce.

ABBE - Awarding Body for the Built Environment

The Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE) has gone live with GA's Parnassus system. Based in Birmingham, ABBE provides qualifications for the built environment including disciplines such as construction, surveying, plan and project management, home inspection, energy assessment and valuation. Parnassus enhances ABBE’s ability to maintain their qualification structures, manage their database of approved centres, register candidates, capture results and produce certificates. The new system has been customised to ABBE's way of working and will allow ABBE to improve data accuracy and improve efficiency. A recent survey of their centres showed that all had positive feedback on the new online learner registration which is being facilitated by Parnassus.

Skillsfirst Awards is the leading awarding organisation for the service industries. Skillsfirst went live with Parnassus, enabling staff to maintain their qualification structures, manage their database of approved centres, register learners, capture achievement and produce certificates. A key element of the project is the provision of a Registration/certification Electronic Gateway – known as REG – that facilitates collaboration with centres delivering rapid turnaround of services along with administration efficiencies. The project also features integration with Advanced Secure’s secure certificate printing solution, the Sage finance package and Skillsfirst’s eAssessment system.

CIBTAC has been established for almost 30 years as an international examination board, specialising in awarding diplomas in beauty, complementary and sports therapies and well-being. Gordon Associates is pleased to announce that CIBTAC has selected Gordon Associates’ Parnassus to replace its existing awarding body management system. CIBTAC was originally developed as the Education section of BABTAC, the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology, a leading professional body for therapists in the UK. Future Awards and Qualifications

Future is an awarding body providing accredited qualifications in first aid, health and safety, teacher training and social care. Gordon Associates is pleased to announce that Future has recently gone live with our Parnassus awarding body management system. Parnassus enhances Future’s ability to maintain their qualification structures, manage their database of approved centres, register learners, capture results and produce certificates. In addition the online registration facility has provided significant benefits in terms of efficiency and data accuracy.

Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ), the UK’s leading health and fitness specific awarding body, has selected GA's Parnassus solution. Parnassus will replace CYQ’s internally-developed system and a key outcome is the need for closer collaboration with centres – one example being the inclusion of centre logos on certificates for their learners. CYQ selected GA’s flagship awarding body management system to be an integral component of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution that is being implemented across all operations within parent charity Central YMCA. In addition to Microsoft CRM integration, Parnassus interfaces with other applications such as CYQ’s QuestionMark assessment system, Mark-It, and Microsoft’s finance system, Dynamics-GP (formerly known as Great Plains).

EdExcel (part of Pearsons group)

Gordon Associates has recently completed a Microsoft CRM prototyping project for EdExcel which will initially focus on the sales and marketing requirements of the Work Based Learning Team. This pilot project is designed as a forerunner to a subsequent rollout to over 250 staff across the other marketing departments of EdExcel and will allow the organisation to assess Microsoft CRM’s capabilities for handling customer contact information, communications with customers (centres), marketing campaign management, integration with telephone system – and much more besides.

Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education

CACHE is a national strategic body which incorporates an awarding body for qualifications in children's care and education. CACHE design NVQ's and vocational qualifications which are run at hundreds of schools and colleges around the UK and abroad - and CACHE award certificates to thousands of candidates each year who successfully complete the courses. CACHE required an integrated system to assist staff in centre approvals, assessment, candidate registration and certification - and many other aspects of the organisation's business processes. A browser-based intranet system was required to service around 60 staff in two offices - plus a number of home-workers.

Phase 2. The system has subsequently been enhanced to provide the capability to automatically transfer candidates between sites and awards; to allow multiple registrations; to provide greater flexibility in the area of unit registrations; to provide greater capability for the import of registrations and marks from centres - and much more ...

Phase 3. Gordon Associates were awarded the contract to deliver a third phase of functionality for the system in the areas of unitisation, centre approvals, candidate registration, closer co-operation with centres and integration with in-house finance system (Great Plains), eAssessment package (Promissor) and the customer relationship management system.

CRM. Gordon Associates has delivered a sophisticated Microsoft CRM solution. The system enables the organisation to handle pre-sales activities such as marketing campaigns, lead generation, lead tracking, enquiry handling, diary management of sales visits and management information. The project also features remote working and integration with telephone systems and is in use by over 100 staff. CRM (Event Management). Developed as a customised module of the Microsoft CRM implementation, Gordon Associates has delivered an Event Management system which allows CACHE to handle events such as training days, conferences and workshops. The system features events, streams, speakers, catering, delegates bookings and of course integrates with the overall customer relationship management solution.

Institute Of Administrative Management

Established in 1915, the Institute of Administrative Management (IAM) is a professional body for both practising and aspiring Administrative and Business Managers. IAM’s 20,000 students and professional members are responsible for the management of systems, people and processes. IAM has members in every UK business sector and members in 58 countries across the world.
IAM has recently gone live with GA’s Parnassus awarding body management portal which supports the management of qualifications, centres and learners and other core AO functions. A key aspect of the project was the Parnassus exams module, which enables IAM to manage exam schedules, venues, exam bookings, markers, input of results and, if required, marks adjustment by marker, venue etc. IAM processes tens of thousands of exam bookings per year in co-ordinated exam sessions across the world.
The project also features integration to IAM’s finance system and the business has recently selected XOR’s X-AMS eAssessment solution to provide online multiple choice tests. Parnassus and X-AMS are being integrated to provide visibility of learner registrations in X-AMS and transfer of achievement back into Parnassus.

ASA - Amateur Swimming Association

The ASA Awarding Body operates within the Amateur Swimming Association providing accredited qualifications for teachers and coaches in swimming and related activities such as synchronised swimming, diving and water polo. ASA has gone live with Parnassus which enables staff to maintain their qualification structures, manage their database of approved centres, register learners, capture achievement and produce certificates. In addition Parnassus supported ASA in their transition to the QCF and management of credit-based units and qualifications.
GA built a series of customisations to fit Parnassus to ASA's business processes as well as extending the solution to handle CPD and courses. The courses functionality allows centres to request a course covering specific units of a qualification, internal staff to approve the course request and then manage the ongoing data capture through to the shipment of certificates.

ESB - English Speaking Board

ESB is an awarding body which promotes and assesses Spoken English in a wide range of educational centres: Junior and Senior Schools, Further and Higher Educational Colleges, Universities, Prisons, Adult Learning centres and in the training sectors of industry and business. Gordon Associates has been appointed preferred Software Solutions supplier and has completed an enhancement of existing systems to incorporate MIAP facilities such as Unique Learner Number (ULN), rationalisation of current customer data and support for new awards. Future work is planned to include additional Business Intelligence reporting and extensions to online services.
